The “closing hymn” has been a fixture of church services, religious gatherings and other public events for centuries. More recently, entertainers like Elvis, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and others have featured hymns in their concerts and TV specials. So, when Mike & Bruce began their weekly CoRoenosphere webcasts, it seemed only natural to sing a hymn or two towards the end of the show, much to their viewers’ delight. It is in the spirit of those performances that we bring you “Hymnshow”, featuring some of our favorite hymns, gospel blues and southern gospel classics from yesteryear. 77s fans who enjoyed their 2008 release “Holy Ghost Building” or Mike’s “We All Gonna Face The Rising Sun” from 2009 will love this new collection of righteous rockers, holy rollers and swingin’ spirituals.
